2011 Hall of Fame Honorees
David Ratki began attending Nor-West programs as a toddler. David was born in New Rochelle, but moved to Croton. David attended several schools including the Westchester Exceptional Children’s school from which he graduated.  Upon graduation, David began working at the Keon Center, tackling jobs both on-site and out in the community.

David has a host of early memories about Nor-West, including school vacation programs and day trips. David is very quick to make an impression on our new staff. He will immediately ask their name, and remarkably will never forget it! When asked why he has attended Nor-West for so many years, David states “to socialize with my friends”.  David’s preference for a celebrity lunch would be with the rapper Emenim. David’s dream job would be to work at Nor-West or in a bowling center. David lives with his peers in Cortlandt Manor, and his mom, dad, and two brothers are very involved with his life. We welcome David as our youngest member of the Nor-West Hall of Fame!

Joey Raybin began attending Nor-West programs in 1979. Joey was born in the Bronx, and moved to northern Westchester in 1976. Joey recalls attending the Keysville Elementary School.  Joey has worked at the Keon Center for many years. Joey splits his day between the workshop floor and the Keon Day Hab program. According to the Keon staff, Joey is among the most productive employees on the workshop floor.
Joey recalls that in his early days attending Nor-West, the activities were very inexpensive. When asked why he has attended Nor-West for so long, Joey states “I love the Nor-West activities. I get to see my friends there, and everyone understands me”.  Joey’s preference for a celebrity lunch would be Alex Trebek from Jeopardy.  Joey is a prolific reader and he is never without a book nearby. In fact, Joey’s dream occupation would be an author. Joey has two brothers and lives with his friends in Peekskill. Welcome to the Nor-West Hall of Fame Joey!

Joey Seymour began attending programs at Nor-West in 1986. Joey was born and raised in Peekskill. Joey attended a variety of schools including St. Agatha’s Childrens Center, WARC Pre-school, and he graduated from BOCES Pinesbridge.

Joey began working at the Keon Center, where he volunteers at various job sites throughout Northern Westchester.  Joey has many early memories about his time at Nor-West, including swimming, playing basketball in Special Olympics, and winning medals! Joey especially enjoys the Nor-West dances, where he has an opportunity to dance with the pretty Nor-West staff. When asked why he has attended Nor-West for twenty-five years, Joey points to the social opportunities and physical activities. If Joey could have lunch with any celebrity, he would choose the famous wrestler Hulk Hogan. Joey’s dream job is to become a firefighter. Welcome to the Hall of Fame Joey!
